Her name says it all and she is indeed very special. 'Penny' is sired by frozen semen of APHA World Champion "Special Affects" now deceased who has sired a handful of horses in Australia of which have not only won in the halter ring but have excelled in the performance arena as well.
'Penny' has that move that I want in a riding horse, flat, soft and ground covering and strength in the hind leg which are attributes that you need to go places. 'Penny' is out of a National Champion producing mare 'Society Fluker' who is also the dam of Garth Brooks, multiple champion and another great horse in her pedigree who I have a soft spot for is the great "C-Notes Playboy IMP". "Penny" is an absolute sweetheart of a mare, she is so kind and absolutely no trouble at all to handle with or without a foal.
She was broken in as a young filly but not shown under saddle which was unfortunate as I feel she would have also conquered the performance arena as well. "Pretty Special" has proven herself in the halter ring without a doubt including; PHAA Sires Classic Winner PHAA National Champion Weanling Filly PHAA National Weanling Halter Futurity 3rd place (28) NSWPHA State Show Weanling Halter Futurity 3rd place NSWPHA State Show Weanling Filly 3 place NSWPHA POR Weanling Filly 2nd place PHAA National Champion 2yo Filly.
"Pretty Special" has been bred to "Burkes Awesome To A Tee" who himself is a National Champion, State Champion & won the Prestigious NPHA Open Weanling Halter Futurity. "Awesome To A Tee" or 'Mister' as we call him is sired by APHA World Champion & APHA Multiple World Champion sire "Mighty Awesome" who has been the APHA Number ONE sire of Halter horses in the USA for a number of years now.
